  • Canadian Encyclopedia Online
    Includes illustrations, photographs, artwork, maps, video clips of Canadian history and culture, audio clips of readings by Canadian authors, and Canadiana quiz.
  • Columbia Encyclopedia
    Containing nearly 51,000 entries (marshalling six and one-half million words on a vast range of topics), and with more than 80,000 hypertext cross-references, the current Sixth Edition is among the most complete and up-to-date encyclopedić ever produced.
  • Encarta
    Microsoft's Encarta reference encyclopedia site includes the Encarta World Dictionary, together with a simple atlas and provides access to approximately 12,000 articles with linked images and additional web resources.

    Provides users with more than 57,000 frequently updated articles from the Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition. Each article is enhanced with links to newspaper and magazine articles as well as pictures and maps - all provided by eLibrary. eLibrary is the comprehensive digital archive for information seekers of all ages.     Wikipedia is a multilingual online encyclopedia consisting of over 470,000 articles in English created by more than 16,000 contributors. This is a good source to use for very recent topics.
