Locating Business and Economics Articles

The following indexes can be used to find articles on Business and Economics:

ABI/Inform

ABI/INFORM provides selective full text worldwide coverage of business conditions, trends, corporate strategies and tactics, management techniques, competitive and product information, and a wide variety of other topics including accounting, advertising, banking, computers, economics, finance, human resources, marketing, real estate, taxation and telecommunications. It also provides information on 60,000+ companies.

Business and Company Resource Center

Business and Company Resource Center includes periodical articles, news articles, and press releases; investment reports; corporate chronologies and company histories; brands and product information; industry and company rankings; financial overviews; industry overviews; and HR law case digests. Searches can be done on company name or ticker symbol, industry code/description (SIC or NAICS), subjects in article, geographic search, or personal name.

Business Source Elite

Business Source Elite provides full text coverage for more than 1,100 scholarly business, management and economics journals, including nearly 500 peer-reviewed publications.

CBCA Complete

Canadian Business & Current Affairs (CBCA) is Canada's largest and most comprehensive bibliographic full text reference and current events database. CBCA Complete combines full text and indexed content from all four CBCA database subsets (Reference, Current Events, Business and Education).

Conference Board of Canada (e-library)

Conference Board of Canada contains over 1,300 research reports in the areas of economic trends, public policy, risk management and travel and tourism trends

EconLit

EconLit provides bibliographic coverage of a wide range of economics-related literature. An expanded version of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL), indexes of journals, books, and dissertations. EconLit covers both economic theory and application.

Emerald Library

Emerald (Electronic Management Research Library Database) delivers all the resources of a full management library of journal literature including the topics, management human resources, information management, library & information services, marketing, operations, production & economics, property, quality, training & education.

EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit)

Provides country, industry, management analysis and forecasts on over 200 countries, nine strategic industries, and a full range of management functions through the following services: ViewsWire, Country Reports and Country Profile.

Factiva

Factiva integrates content from top national newspapers, Dow Jones & Reuters newswires, business journals, market research reports, analyst reports and web sites providing Broad based business & financial coverage.

Global Market Information Database (GMID)

GMID offers integrated access to internationally comparable statistics, full-text market reports, comments from expert industry and country analysts as well as thousands of sources of further information. 205 countries are researched, with extended coverage of 52.

Globe and Mail (available via Factiva)

As Canada's newspaper of record for more than 150 years, The Globe and Mail and its daily Report on Business section are the definitive source for Canadian news and business reporting. Includes Report on Business magazine, published monthly.

Jstor

JSTOR has created a full text digital archive of core scholarly
journals with complete back runs of many titles, not including current issues (usually the last 3-5 years). The Ryerson University Library has access to two of JSTOR's archival journal collections - Arts and Science, and Business.

Leisure Tourism

Leisure Tourism includes relevant records from the CAB ABSTRACTS database, corresponding to the Abstract journal Leisure, Recreation and Tourism Abstracts. It forms a unique and comprehensive guide to the world's literature on leisure, recreation, sport, tourism, and hospitality activities, facilities, products and services. Coverage: 1976-present

Lexis Nexis Academic

Lexis/Nexis Academic is a full-text database which focuses primarily on business, legal and news resources. Included in the database are law reports, company filings, journal and newspaper articles, broadcast transcripts, etc.

The Lexis/Nexis Academic service is made available exclusively for the use of currently enrolled students and faculty of Ryerson. Commercial use is strictly prohibited.

Mergent Online

Mergent Online is a suite of global business and financial information products offering over 10,000 U.S. public companies and 17,000 non-U.S. public companies.

EDGAR Search allows you to search against SEC filings. Industry Reports allows you to view reports based on sectors and countries. Country Profile provides statistical data with country map.

National Bureau of Economic Research Papers

NBER has more than 6,500 working papers, and it focuses on empirical research such as the development of new statistical measures, effects of public policy on US economy, and estimating quantitative models of economic behaviour.

PMB Category Reports

PMB surveys include information on Canadians' usage of over 3,500 products and services, including their demographics, attitudes, media consumption, retail outlets, frequency of usage and (when sponsored) the brands used.

Scholars Portal

Scholars Portal provides access to the full text of over 2,100 journals published by Academic Press, Elsevier Science, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Kluwer Law and Kluwer/Plenum.

SourceOECD try the new OECD iLibrary

SourceOECD comprises 20 Book collections by theme, containing all OECD monographs and reports; 24 periodicals; some reference titles; and the OECD statistical databases.

Springer/Link

Springer/Link covers life sciences, chemical sciences, geosciences, computer science, mathematics, medicine, physics & astronomy, engineering, environmental sciences, law, and economics.
