Books and Audiovisual Materials

Most books are located on floors 6 through 10 in the library. Reference and reserve books are located on the 2nd floor. In general, you can find books related to Mathematics in the QA1 - QA939 call numbers series on the 9th floor:

To search for books in the Library Catalogue, use the keyword option, which searches titles and subject headings.  Enter keywords such as algebra, modeling, calculus, etc.  You may want to use Boolean Searching techniques to make your search more efficient. For example:

Topic: differential calculus equations

Strategy: differential and calculus and equation*

Using and will find every item in the catalogue that has all of the words "differential" and "calculus" and "equation" in it. The asterisk (*) acts like a wild card to find different endings. "Equation*" will find "equations".

Videos

All videos are listed in the library catalogue. Search by keyword as follows. Example:

mathematics and videorecording

You can also limit your search to videos, or other types of AV material, by choosing the "Limit this search" option at the top of the screen. Then select material type, and choose the desired format.  For further information, contact Audio-Visual Services.
