Newspapers in the Ryerson Library

Newspapers in print and microfiche are located on the 5th floor and are listed by title in the library catalogue. Ryerson provides varied options for electronic access.

  • Canadian Newsstand For the text of a selection of major Canadian dailies such as the Toronto Star. Also includes the Financial Post.
  • CBCA Complete For selected text of Canadian newspapers.
  • Factiva Major internat'l business newspapers including Globe & Mail, Wall Street Journal
  • Globe & Mail via Factiva
  • Lexis/Nexis For the Toronto Star and Financial Post

The Lexis/Nexis database is an important source of international newspapers. Its use is restricted to Ryerson students, faculty and staff, in the library. Kidon Media Link, one of many Internet sources generally available to the public, includes the home pages of many newspapers from around the world. The Ryerson Library also subscribes to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times in print.
