Peer Evaluation of Teaching

Faculty peer evaluation provides feedback to instructors and helps them improve teaching and learning in their courses. When peer evaluation is used to help instructors improve teaching, it is called a formative review. When it is used it determine salary and tenure, it is called a summative review. The following resources provide guidelines, suggestions, best practices, and sample evaluation instruments for both forms of peer review.
