The LTO TA/GA Awards

It is with great pleasure that the Learning and Teaching Office announces the recipients of the 2012/2013 TA/GA Award.

The purpose of the LTO’s TA/GA Awards Program is to recognize, promote, and reward the contributions that teaching and graduate assistants (TA/GAs) make to enhance the quality of undergraduate student learning experiences at Ryerson. The TA/GA Awards centre on the development of self-directedness in the TA/GA role by emphasizing three criteria: community building, employee relations, and the student experience. The Awards Committee selected this year’s recipients based upon these three criteria.

The recipients of the 2012/2013 LTO TA/GA Award are:

Aleksandra Bida for her work in the Department of English;

Aslam Hanief for his work in the Department of Chemistry and Biology;

Elana Jackson for her work in the School of Early Childhood Studies;

Scott Marentette for his work in the Department of Social Work;

Nicole Sugden for her work in the Department of Psychology.

The recipients each receive an award of $500.

Details for the 2013/2014 LTO TA/GA Awards will be made available in the Fall
