U.S. Sources

Fedstats

  • FedStats is the new gateway to the full range of official statistical information available to the public from the U.S. Government. Use the Internet's powerful linking and searching capabilities to track economic and population trends, education, health care costs, aviation safety, foreign trade, energy use, farm production, and more. Access official statistics collected and published by more than 70 Federal agencies without having to know in advance which agency produces them.

Census

  • US Census Bureau - The US Census Bureau website is your gateway to the 2000 US census.

ICPSR

  • InterUniversity Consortium for Social and Political Research (ICPSR) - The United States does not have a "National Data Archive" as such that role is largely filled by the ICPSR. This archive contains a number of data sets produced by other countries. The Ryerson Library is a member of this Consortium and can obtain any of the data sets in the collection free of charge.

The Scout Report
