Geospatial Data Licensing

The Geospatial Map and Data Centre's (GMDC) data collection is provided to the Ryerson University Library (in part) through consortial agreements which limit the use of these resources to academic, teaching and non-commercial research purposes. As a result, Ryerson University Library strictly enforces licensing restrictions and appropriate use of its data resources.

Direct Requests for Data

All Ryerson Community members requesting and obtaining data from the GMDC staff are required to fill out a data request form in advance. The Direct Requests for Data form allows users to specify the data resource required, and to provide GMDC staff with information including Course Code(s), Faculty Member(s) and the type/name of project in an attempt to speed up the data delivery process.
