The Writing Centre

We are 12 - 16 student tutors and a faculty Director, funded by the University. You book a 50 minute appointment, or drop in without an appointment and any tutor who is free will work with you.. Our services are free.

We offer you one-on-one help with all the problems you may have with writing at Ryerson.

• Come to us if you don't know how to get started. We will teach you how to "chunk" an outline, and think about a controlling idea or thesis.
• Come to us with your first draft. We will help you to recognize its strengths and weaknesses, and suggest strategies to improve it.
• Come to us with a marked essay. We will go over it with you and suggest what you might do to improve your future work.
