A Participatory Surveillance Culture - How Involved We Really Are?

As part of Social Media Week, this event is being hosted by three of our talented MBAs!

A Participatory Surveillance Culture - How Involved We Really Are

The goal is to explore perceptions on the acceptance and use of social media as a potentially invasive technology. Many of us have never thought about this topic before, and this event will help us realize just how involved in the participatory surveillance society we actually are. Through their research and practical experience, Ryerson MBA students will discuss social media user engagement, data analysis, and crowdsourcing to raise awareness about one of the most precarious issues in social media today. #smwPrivacy
