Research Expertise: Media Management, Innovation, Strategy
Charles Davis has more than 20 years of professional experience in Canada and internationally in the area of innovation policy and management, with a focus on SMEs and regional development, R&D management and development of technology-intensive industries, especially the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
Davis is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications and reports, and has received numerous research grants from federal scholarly granting agencies, international agencies, and private firms. Davis’ current externally-funded research focuses on learning efficiencies in software-enabled service operations, business development strategies in IT firms in regional innovation clusters, and development of the creative industries. Davis’ list of consulting clients includes the World Bank, UNESCO, Industry Canada, ACOA, other national governmental agencies, and various private firms. He earned his PhD from the Université de Montréal.
