Mining and CSR (New Specialization)
Expanding Canada's influence in the global mining sector will require employees who fully comprehend business management theories and practices. Our partners in government, the financial community, and industry-based associations have endorsed the need for mining sector-focused management education at the graduate level. Such training is critical in order to rise to the complex challenges the sector increasingly faces, such as technological advances, globalization, an aging workforce, corporate consolidation, changes in taxation and trading treaties. Our program will provide students with knowledge in areas that are crucial to their professional success in mining-based positions in companies, government, the financial sector, the legal environment, and elsewhere. Critical subjects to be covered include resource valuation and finance, business ethics/CSR, investor communications, and government relations.
