The MMSc in Management of Technology and Innovation is a Master’s degree for people interested in a research career in industry or academia. The curriculum is coursework-based plus a thesis. It emphasizes the development of sound qualitative and quantitative research skills, oriented toward research in the area of technology management and innovation. Students apply these skills to write a thesis that makes an original contribution to the theory or empirical study of technology/innovation management, giving graduates a strong foundation for doctoral studies or a career in research. MMSc students take three required courses, a research seminar, three elective courses and a five credit thesis.
Eleven credits are required to complete the MMSc degree. A credit is earned for a twelve week class. The MMSc degree can be completed by a full-time student in a minimum of one year (twelve months), or by a part-time student in a minimum of two years (twenty-four months).
Typical Full-time program structure is a minimum of three terms. Students without a BComm or equivalent degree complete a set of Foundation courses prior to graduation. Foundation courses are comprised of five credits supplying an introduction to basic business concepts and skills.
