ABSTRACT
The CSME Forum'98 Proceedings will be produced from the camera-ready manuscripts which you prepare using the following instructions. Please ensure that your manuscript is written in grammatically correct English or French and is free of spelling and typing errors.
1. INTRODUCTION
The author's kit for CSME Forum'98 does not include typing mats. Prepare your manuscript in full-size format, on 8.5 x 11 inch size paper. Use good quality white paper.
2. PREPARATION OF PAPERFORUM OBJECTIVES AND HISTORY
Structure of paper
Length
The overall length of the paper should not exceed eight (8) pages.
Heading categories
Formatting
The paper should be formatted in two columns for each page, and set top margin at 12 mm (0.5in) and bottom margin at 20 mm (0.8in); left and right margins at 20 mm (0.8in). The column width is 83 mm (3.25 in). The space between the two columns is 10 mm (0.4in). You are to left and right justify the columns. On the last page of your paper, adjust the lengths of the two columns so that they are equal in length.
Your manuscript should be typed in single spacing in black. The margin settings noted above must be strictly followed. The use of a laser print is strongly advised. DO NOT USE A DOT MATRIX PRINTER.
Do not put page numbers on each page, rather the page number should be hand-written on the back side of the page with a blue pencil.
Figures, tables and photographs
Please fit figures and tables in one column if possible. However, large figures and tables may span both columns. Figure captions should appear below the figures; table captions, above the tables. Place figures and tables as close as possible to their first mention in the text.
Photographs should be included only when absolutely essential. They must be in Black and White and printed on glossy (high contrast) paper.
