Biography:
Dr. Oguamanam is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. He holds a Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Following graduation, he was a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS). Dr. Oguamanam joined Ryerson University from UTIAS where he was a Research Associate in the Structures Group. His research is in structural mechanics, solid/continuum mechanics, dynamics and vibration, and finite element methods, with applications to composites, intelligent structures and rubberlike materials and soft-tissues. He is a Professional Engineer of the Province of Ontario.
