Biography:

Filippo A. Salustri, Ph.D., P.Eng. has been teaching researching and practicing design engineering since 1989.

Qualifications:

Ph.D, University of Toronto, Department of Mechanical Engineering, 1993

Research Interest:

Product design, systems design; formal and informal methods of designing, visualizing non-geometric information (requirements, systems, processes), web-based tools for design; knowledge management. Dr. Salustri has been involved with research and design of cars, aircraft, spacecraft, robots, temporary structures, toys, home appliances and medical equipment.

Current Courses:

Dr. Salustri has taught engineering design at 4 universities and currently teaches design at junior, senior and graduate levels. In 1998, he won the "Golden Apple" teaching award at the University of Windsor, and in 2007 he won a provincial Leadership in Faculty Teaching Award.
