Ted Rogers Entrance Awards & Scholarships

Thanks to a $15 million donation from Ted and Loretta Rogers, each year the Ted Rogers School of Management issues a total of 24 Graduate Entrance Scholarships and Awards worth up to $20,000 each.

Eligibility and Criteria

Eligibility is restricted to applicants to one of the following programs:

Ken Jones Graduate Award in Real Estate
 
Purpose:
 
Established by the John and Kim Morrison Family Foundation, this award is to be awarded to a Graduate student in the Ted Rogers MBA or the Master of Science in Management specializing in Real Estate Management.
 
Description:
 
John Morrison is a member of the Real Estate Management Advisory Council and is a committed volunteer for the Ted Rogers School of Management.  This donation honours Ken Jones, former Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management.
 
Number and Amount of Awards:
 
One annual award of $5,000 commencing in the 2017-18 academic year for five years.  
 
Award Schedule: To be presented in the Fall of the 2017-18 academic year.
 
Application Deadline:  September 29, 2017
 
Eligibility and Application Information:
 
To be eligible for this award, students must:
 
  • Be registered as a Graduate, Full Time student at Ryerson University and have clear academic standing;
  • Be registered in the Ted Rogers MBA or Master of Science in Management specializing in Real Estate Management;
  • Demonstrate academic  excellence with the highest GPA over two real estate courses;
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by Ryerson University by completion of a Student Budget Form.

Beverly A. Dales Award for Women in Leadership
 
Purpose:
 
Thanks to a gift from the Estate of Beverley A. Dales, we have been fortunate to establish the Beverley A. Dales Award for Women in Leadership dedicated to fostering connections among the female members of our Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Management (MScM) cohorts and who demonstrate a dedication to leadership in her community/workplace.  Beginning in 2018 and in each subsequent year, the Beverley A. Dales Award will be one of the awards presented at the WiLA Award Reception.
 
Number and Amount of Awards:
One annual award of $2,500 commencing in the 2017/2018 academic year in perpetuity.
 
Award Schedule: 
The first award will be presented in the Spring of 2017/2018 academic year and each year in perpetuity.
 
Application Deadline:  September 29, 2017
 
Eligibility and Application Information:
  • To be eligible for this award, students must:
  • Be registered as a Graduate, Full-time or Part-time student at Ryerson University and have clear academic standing;
  • Be an incoming graduate student (i.e. first year of their graduate program);
  • Be a women or anyone who identifies as a women;
  • Be enrolled in the MBA or MScM program.

  • Written Statement 70% weighting:  Approximately 500 words demonstrating their dedication to leadership and detailing any past experience in entrepreneurship and/or communications.

TREB Commercial Division Award Program

Designed to foster awareness of the commercial real estate industry in the GTA, this program will provide a post secondary graduate student with hands on experience in commercial real estate research as well as assist in their financial obligations during their studies. Government Loans

All Graduate Programs at the Ted Rogers School of Management are accredited by the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). Upon acceptance to one of these programs, students may apply for a government student loan. External Sources of Financial Aid

Applicants are encouraged to conduct research on external organizations that may offer scholarships or bursaries. There are many scholarships and bursaries available to Graduate students via external organizations.

Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGS) - $15,000 per year

The criteria for an Ontario Graduate Scholarship is based solely on academic excellence for students who have achieved an average of at least A-, or the equivalent in their last 20 credits of their undergraduate degree. The Province of Ontario contributes two-thirds of the value of the award while Ryerson University provides one-third.

Open to Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or an international student with a valid study permit (please note there are a very limited number of awards available for international students).

Ryerson Graduate Fellowship (RGF) – $10,000

The criteria for a Ryerson Graduate Fellowship is based solely on academic excellence for full time domestic students who have achieved a minimum of a B average in your last two years of study.
