2013/14 Lecture Series | Architectural Science
Dr. Eran Neuman is an architect, the head of the Azrieli School of Architecture, Tel Aviv University and the head of the Azrieli Architectural Archive at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Eran’s research focuses on postwar architectural history and theory, architectural representation, the influence of new and digital media on architecture, and the development of new digital design technologies. Dr. Neuman has lectured throughout the world including at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Leeds University, DePaul University, and the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. His essays are featured in leading architectural journals and his book “Performalism: Form and Performance in Digital Architecture” (co-edited with Yasha Grobman) was published by Routledge in 2011. Most recently, "The Labyrinth: the Planning of Tel Aviv New Central Bus Station" was published in 2013. His book “Shoah Presence: Holocaust Commemoration and Architecture Culture” is forthcoming by Ashgate in April 2014. He is co-founder of Open Source Architecture (together with Aaron Sprecher and Chandler Ahrens), an international research and design group.
