Ryerson announces opening weekend at Mattamy Athletic Centre

TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2012 -- Ryerson University is celebrating the grand opening of its newest space, The Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Garden with four days of sporting events, community activities and special ceremonies.
Thursday, September 6, 2012
2 pm: Ryerson Rams women’s volleyball game on the Coca Cola Court
7 pm: Ryerson Rams men’s basketball game on the Coca Cola Court with a new time capsule ceremony at half-time
Friday, September 7
3 to 6pm: Ryerson student parade from the Ryerson Quad (33 Gerrard Street East) to Yonge Street and the Mattamy Athletic Centre.
Saturday, September 8
7 pm: Opening ceremonies and Ryerson Rams men’s hockey game on Mattamy Home Ice
Sunday, September 9
12pm: Ryerson Rams men’s volleyball game on the Coca Cola Court
1 to 2:30pm: First-ever community skate, Mattamy Home Ice – Free to the public
2pm: Ryerson Rams women’s basketball game on the Coca Cola Court
4pm: Ryerson Rams women’s hockey game on Mattamy Home Ice
