



On Saturday May 11, Ryerson University will host a full day of science, engineering and family fun at Yonge-Dundas Square for Science Rendezvous, a Canada-wide science festival showcasing world class research by bringing science to the streets.
Inquisitive minds and families looking for fun will find the Square full of interactive exhibits, demonstrations and stage shows that present an intriguing and engaging look at biology, physics, interactive computing and more. Ryerson students and faculty will host dozens of events throughout the day. Stage Shows
Dan Riskin, co-host of Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet, will host the main stage with a variety of shows and performances including the popular fire show, an all-new Dance of Science with Ryerson Theatre School dance students, and an exciting new liquid nitrogen show. The stage shows start at 12 p.m.
Physics Circus
Discover the wonders of physics with our fun and interactive Physics Circus! Experience the power of vacuum, levitating superconductors, electrical phenomena and more.
Robot Battles
Radio-controlled robots compete in one-on-one contests, ranging from soccer-style goal scoring to destroying the opponent's beacon tower. Come and cheer for your favourite metal gladiator!
