Ryerson University and Loblaw Companies Limited have revealed the contents of a 1931 time capsule found inside the walls of Maple Leaf Gardens.

Time Capsule This copper box, (20cm x 12cm x 12cm) lay hidden beneath the cornerstone of Maple Leaf Gardens for nearly 80 years. Discovered by Ryerson University and Loblaw Companies Limited in September 2011, it held a dozen items including newspapers, hockey rulebooks, a letter from the Maple Leaf Gardens directors, and a small ivory elephant - the significance of which is unknown.
