Congratulations to the grand prize winner in our contest, Karina Sheinerman, who won a restaurant gift certificate. With the help of our sponsors - the Faculty of Communication & Design, Alumni Relations and Marketing and Communications - we gave out several other prizes as well like umbrellas, T-shirts and water bottles. These other prizes went to Andrew Ford, Daniel Rivarola, Alexander Chirita, Alison Hanko, Audrey McEvenue, Kraigen Brown, Aisha Bartholomew, Carrie Regan and Asmita Persaud. The installation of the construction hoarding around the SLC site is scheduled to start May 25 and last approximately one week.

Celebrating Ruth Abbott's life

The community is invited to join in a memorial service to remember and celebrate the life of Ruth Abbott, the assistant vice-president, marketing and communications, who passed away recently. The event will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sears Atrium, 3rd floor, George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre.
