Guidelines for abstract submission:

The Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing at Ryerson University invites abstract submissions for presentation at the 6th annual Research Day. Abstracts are welcomed from a broad range of priority issues, such as socio-economic determinants of health; public and population health; health policy; evidence-based practice; and professional education.Abstracts should be submitted using the submission template and e-mailed to nursing.researchday@ryerson.ca . Abstracts will be made available in the conference program, which will be available online.

Abstracts must be no more than 250 words in length. Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation format.

  • Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length followed by 5 minutes for questions. Abstracts describing research in progress will be considered for poster presentation only. Abstracts not accepted for oral presentation will be considered for poster presentation.

  • Maximum poster size: 36 inches in height by 48 inches in width
  • Awards for the best student presentations

Submission deadline: Monday, March 4, 2013, 9:00am

Past Nursing Research Days

The Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing at Ryerson University hosts an annual Nursing Research Day.  The goal of this conference is to provide a venue for sharing research and fostering exchange of ideas among nurses working in education, administration and clinical settings.  Presentations of completed research or research in progress of relevance to nursing educators, practitioners or administrators has been featured in the past, as well as the results of applied clinical research projects, program evaluation initiatives, and student theses, completed or in progress.
