Biography
Wincy joined the Career Centre in September 2014, having worked as a career educator in both higher education (UofT) and community (Employment Program of BC) settings. She brings considerable experience from the community services sector, having worked with a number of non-profit agencies, including the BC Psychological AssociationSimon Fraser Public Interest Research Group, the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC, and the Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Services Agencies of BC.

Wincy is passionate about student success and enhancing student experience in higher education, particularly that of international and first-generation working-class students. She is an active member of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).

Jean-Pierre Fernandes

Biography
Jean-Pierre approaches the career centre with a belief in empowerment and a passion for creating opportunities for all persons to succeed. Having worked in the not-for-profit sector as well as in post-secondary, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Ryerson Career Centre. His background includes working with diverse populations to help create bridges and connections with employment as well as the creation of training programs/workshops and job fairs and networking events.

Jean-Pierre has spent a majority of his career working with priority populations with a focus on the LGBT community, having organized trainings surrounding inclusion in the workplace and partnering with a variety of community agencies that serve this community.
