School of Nutrition
Admission Information
The School of Nutrition offers a four-year baccalaureate program that focuses on nutrition, food and health from an integrative and multi-disciplinary perspective. The program is designed to ensure that graduates are flexible and responsive to changing trends in health and community settings, foodservice and food industries, education, private practice and entrepreneurial endeavours.

Academic Requirements
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following program specific requirements ( a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher pre-requisite grades and/or higher overall averages):
- English/Anglais
- Chemistry (SCH4U)
- Biology (SBI4U)
- The minimum grade(s) required in the subject prerequisites (normally in the 70 % range) will be determined subject to competition.

1. Directly from high school - Fall admission only, apply now.
2. Previous Education/Transfer/Advanced Standings/Mature Students - Fall admission only, apply now.
- We assist accepted students who are eligible for transfer credits from a previous post-secondary institution.
3. Special Student - Fall and Winter admission, apply now.
- Applicants considered for Special Student status are those who are obtaining courses for upgrading purposes.
4. Internationally Educated Dietitians Pre-registration Program (IDPP)
- Offered by the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, this program is designed to help internationally educated dietitians prepare for registration and practice in Ontario.
Need to upgrade or obtain a prerequisite course?
Those students who lack the prerequisite requirements for admission into the Nutrition and Food program have several options for obtaining missing prerequisites. For more information click HERE.

Cross reference the Course Planning Tool (refer to Academic Calendar for course descriptions) and your transcripts to determine the best course(s) to take offered through Continuing Education at Ryerson's G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education. Courses taken will not guarantee admission to the program.
