Program Summary
Ryerson’s Nutrition and Food program is a four-year undergraduate Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc), offered by the School of Nutrition within the FCS. The degree presents a unique blend of science, nutrition, research, communications, interdisciplinary and social science courses. Senior year courses offer the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in a number of academic options, such as a minors, certificates or eligibility in post-degree options; the Nutrition and Food program is accredited by the Dietitians of Canada.
The School provides diverse learning environment that prepares graduates for a variety of Professional Pathways. Career paths include work in foodservice, dietetics, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, community agencies, government, ingredient suppliers, & companies involved in marketing and promoting consumer food products. The Program is also recognized by a number of Professional Associations.
