What is U201?
During the year the Ryerson Student Union (RSU), the Continuing Education Students' Association of Ryerson (CESAR), Student Development and Counseling, the Office of the Registrar and the Office of the Ombudsperson host a number of free information sessions for all students who are: * considering an Academic Appeal;
*on Probation;
* Required to Withdraw (RTW) or Permanent Program Withdrawal (PPW).
Representatives from each of these offices are available for consultation after the presentations. Additionally, there are also Letter Writing sessions where you can work on your appeal letters with the assistance of the Student Advocates.
For more information about University 201, please contact the RSU Office (Student Campus Centre - 3rd Floor) or by phone at 416-979-5255, X 2322 or advocacy@rsuonline.ca and/or CESAR at studentrights@mycesar.ca or phone number: 416-979-5193 ext 7716
Why should I attend?
In the seminar you will learn about your responsibilities and the supports available to you. These two-hour sessions are useful if you are considering submitting an academic appeal, want to understand what it means to be on probation or to be suspended, do not know what to do while you're on suspension, or want to consider other options like transferring to another program or post-secondary institute. What can I do if there are no sessions currently scheduled?
