Between June 17 - 23, 2017, Toronto will host the external,31st International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) Congress. The ICM works to strengthen professional associations of midwives throughout the world with representatives from 116 midwifery associations in 102 countries across every continent.
Through a series of events to be hosted by the external,Midwifery Education Program (MEP), Ryerson University invites you to visit our campus, learn more about our exceptional education model, engage with our students and faculty, and expand your local and international network of connections.
Midwifery at Ryerson University is a dynamic and innovative program with faculty engaged in active clinical practice, leading edge research, and professional leadership. Students are taught by midwifery professors as well as faculty in the social and biological sciences. The program champions clinical excellence and social justice, welcoming the diverse life experiences students bring to the university. Equity, diversity and social justice are core values of the MEP and graduates of the program provide safe, competent and ethical midwifery care for pregnant people and their families within varied cultural, ethnic and socio-economic contexts.
