Find Funding

There is a wide range of external and university funding sources to support Ryerson scholarly, research and creative (SRC) activities. ORS staff are available to discuss individual SRC interests with faculty members and to conduct specific funding source searches. Faculty are also encouraged to make use of the searchable funding databases available to them.

Workshops are held throughout the year to provide updates on funding agencies, funding and proposal development, etc. Information is also communicated to faculty members through the various email listservs. ORS maintains materials to assist faculty in obtaining funding and managing research projects, as well as items of general SRC interest. Funding source files contain application forms, guidelines for applicants, and other material from Canadian and some foreign sources; these include primarily federal and provincial ministries, research agencies and foundations. Also kept on hand are: how-to manuals/handbooks regarding application for funding and research administration; publications addressing research ethics, intellectual property protection and other concerns; and other miscellaneous SRC information. You are welcome to review these materials between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
