Philosophy

WELCOME

• The department offers an 'option' in philosophy - basically the equivalent of a traditional Major—as part of Ryerson’s Arts and Contemporary Studies Degree
• Our MA in Philosophy is a two-year program focusing on the core areas of philosophy and offers both a thesis stream and an MRP stream. For more information, contact philosophyMA@ryerson.ca.
• We also offer a wide range of courses on the great thinkers and enduring topics in philosophy, including many Liberal Studies courses.
• The Philosophy Club, open to one and all, arranges philosophically themed events throughout the year.
• The department is also home to a Music Section, which offers courses in world music, musicology, and the history of music.
