Course Awards

Dean's List

Students on the Dean’s List have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.67 across a full course load (at least 4.0 billing units in each of the Fall and Winter terms), clear academic standing, and have passed all of the courses in which they were enrolled. 

Faculty of Arts - Awards of Excellence

Faculty Awards for Excellence are awarded to returning, full-time degree students who have achieved academic excellence.  Recommendations are submitted to the Dean by each Program Chair.  Recipients of this award receive $1,000 in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement.

Hicks Morley Scholarship in Politics and Governance

The Hicks Morley Scholarship, made possible by a generous donation from the law firm Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie LLP, recognizes the academic excellence of a student entering her/his third year of study in the full-time Politics and Governance BA program based on his/her performance in the second year of study. The scholarship also recognizes the student’s contributions to the program, to the University, and to his/her peers.

Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation: 2007 In-Course Awards

The Canada Millennium Scholarship Level I awards are a $5,000 scholarships renewable for one additional year upon maintenance of a B+ GPA and continued demonstration of the leadership, innovation and service to the community for which the student was originally selected. Level I is the highest of three levels of Millennium Scholarships awarded nationally.
