This award is named for Dan McIntyre who joined Ryerson University’s Board of Governors in 1996 and was serving as its Chair at the time of his death in 2001.

The Dan McIntyre Human Rights Award will provide recognition and financial assistance to Ryerson students who have demonstrated a commitment to human rights and justice reform through community service involvement.
