Career Mentoring

A Career Mentor is a guide and adviser to a third/fourth or final year student (Career Mentee) in regards to a particular industry or position. The Career Mentor is culturally sensitive and possesses strong interpersonal skills. The Career Mentor is willing to provide constructive criticism and encourage the student to progress towards their goals. Through participation in the mentoring community, the Career Mentor will continue to grow and develop strong leadership and communication skills while assisting a fourth year student with their development.

Politics & Governance Students' Association

Full-time undergrad students enrolled in the Politics and Governance program are automatically a member of the Politics and Governance Students’ Association, which is a campus group recognised by the Ryerson Students’ Union (RSU).  The RSU designates such groups as a course union governed by a series of policies, and subject to appropriate risk management.

CESAR (Continuing Education Students at Ryerson)

CESAR is a membership driven organisation representing over 16,000 students registered in continuing education, distance education, off-campus, and part-time degree courses at Ryerson University. Students in the Public Administration and Governance BA program (and its constituent Certificates) are, therefore, represented by CESAR and not the RSU.

CESAR is Local 105 of the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS).  Its Executive, Board of Directors and staff work to serve you and improve your student experience by providing you with cost-saving services, advocacy and events.
