Biography:
Carolyn Rayfield has taught at Ryerson, in both the Chang School of Continuing Education and the School of Professional Communication, since 2003. She is an experienced business development professional with over 20 years of hands-on business, management and consulting expertise. She has worked in both for-profit industry and non-profit organizations, gaining front-line experience in sales, market research, marketing, business development and technology transfer. Carolyn has also worked with a large, multinational consulting firm and a smaller boutique firm where she helped clients in financial services, media, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies. Consulting assignments have included the development of strategic and business plans, development of new business opportunities, pricing, training and development, and development of strategic alliances. Carolyn also provides part-time and temporary management services, filling such roles as President/CEO, Executive Director, and VP/Director of Marketing/Communication for small and medium biotech firms and health and science-related non-profits.
