Curriculum Quality Assurance
Curriculum Quality Assurance
The Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance (the Quality Council) of the COU (Council of Ontario Universities) is an arm’s length body designed to ensure rigorous quality assurance of university undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Quality Council was established by OCAV (Ontario Council of Academic Vice-Presidents) in 2010 and its work is supported by an Appraisal Committee and Audit Committee. The Quality Council is responsible for the approval of new undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as auditing each university’s quality assurance processes.
Ryerson University’s Provost and Vice-President (Academic) is responsible for the Institutional Quality Assurance Process (IQAP) as described in Senate Policy 110 and is the authoritative contact between the University and the Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance.
The Vice-Provost Academic assumes the responsibility of the implementation and administration of Ryerson University’s IQAP and the Quality Assurance Framework with the assistance of the Ryerson’s Director of Curriculum Quality Assurance.
