Committees on e-Learning
In February 2013, the interim provost formed two committees to explore the current and future practice of online and e-learning at Ryerson University.
This work will be led by a steering committee that will engage in a broad discussion of Ryerson’s current online learning practices and trends emerging in online learning education, and help set direction for where our university will go over the next several years.
To support the work of this committee, an operations committee will provide insight on how potential new strategies and approaches can be mounted; it will explore issues such as technical support, instructional design and faculty training.
A separate consultation being undertaken by the Advisory Committee on Academic Computing (ACAC) will complement the work of the operations committee. The ACAC consultation is examining Ryerson’s current use of the Blackboard system and will assess community interest in using Google Apps in courses.
