Committee on Technological Change in an Academic Context
Committee on Technological Change in an Academic Context
Ryerson University has long been known for its adaptability. Today, the University – like the communities we serve – faces great technological change. Technology will do more to reshape the nature, the rhythms, and the daily habits of students and faculty than any other development has in a very long time. Technology is changing education at many levels, in ways that we are only just beginning to re-imagine. The Office of the Provost and Vice President Academic is bringing members of the Ryerson community together to explore our options.
The Committee on Technological Change in an Academic Context will reflect on what services and/or practices are needed to advance Ryerson's integration of technology with its teaching, learning, and research mandates. Several of the Academic Plan’s priorities, particularly learning and teaching excellence, rely on an integrated, well-planned, and adaptive approach to technology. Among its priorities, the Committee will recommend a future-looking model for the Digital Media Projects Office.
