Regulatory Guidelines & Directives

Broader Public Sector and Expense Directive:

The Ontario Government introduced the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Accountability Act effective April 1, 2011.   The new rules and higher accountability standards require Ryerson University staff and employees to comply to all policies and procedures.  

Of special note are 1) The requirement for all consulting services to be competitively bid regardless of the dollar spend;  2) All supplier expenses will no longer be reimbursed by Ryerson and 3) Per Diem's for Ryerson staff expenses will no longer be allowed unless permitted by a Collective Agreement.

Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT):

Defines the BPS directives aligned with the provinicial trade agreement.  Ryerson falls under section 502.4.
