Green technologies help Canada meet its climate change goals, reduce energy costs for Canadian industries and families, and grow globally competitive companies. Ryerson is home to a host of faculty researchers in technology, management, social sciences, architecture and interior design that focus on elements of energy, sustainability, and the environment.

Ryerson’s Centre for Urban Energy (CUE) is a focal point for green tech research, linking experts from industry, academia and the public sector to find innovative, next-generation solutions. CUE is a multi-disciplinary facility equipped with high-tech labs designed for conducting basic and applied research as well as demonstrating new technologies. The Green Zone is an innovation incubator working with green startups to promote the development, commercialization, and adoption of a full range of green technologies.
