Sport Analytics Mixer

 

Sport analytics has revolutionized professional sport. Beyond mathematics, the tracking and analysis of sport data and statistics can lead to predictions in team performance, fan engagement, and other outcomes supporting and enhancing teams’ decision making from player recruitment to ticket sales. Through the prioritization of statistics and data to measure and evaluate player and team performance, it allows for scouts and general managers to collaborate on creating player profiles in order to determine the best fit between players and teams.

Hear from Faculty across various disciplines undertaking sport analytics research and for an opportunity to network with other professionals within the sport sector. Industry Professionals who decide to give presentations will provide a description of their companies’ expertise and challenges.  Ryerson and Fields, staff as well as representatives from funding agencies will be on hand to answer any questions.

Please note that although this is a FREE event, registration is required due to a limited number of seats available.
