hitchBOT aims to be first robot to hitchhike across Canada
A Canadian robot dubbed "hitchBOT" hopes to be the first to hitchhike across Canada this July. A collaborative venture first conceived in 2013, hitchBOT is a product of the work of Dr. David Harris Smith of McMaster University and Dr. Frauke Zeller of Ryerson University.

New medical device performs surface imaging in surgery
The 7D Surgical Device, designed by a team led by Victor Yang, Canada Research Chair in Bioengineering and Biophotonics at Ryerson University, in partnership with Sunnybrook Research Institute, provides surgeons with a 3D view of surgical sites.
