Knowledge mobilization

Knowledge mobilization is the process of connecting researchers and their work with organizations and communities outside the university. Knowledge mobilization involves facilitating conversations and collaborations in order to combine knowledge from different spheres of experience and expertise to generate new ideas. Ryerson recognizes the benefits of fostering close ties between its researchers and business, government, not-for-profit, and community organizations. With the goal of promoting knowledge mobilization at Ryerson, OVPRI provides workshops to help its researchers share their work, research, and innovations.

Knowledge mobilization may include, but is not limited to, the creation of research reports, organizing community, academic, or business events, and media relations such as posting work on centre and university websites, social media, etc.
