ABOUT

The renovated School of Image Arts building will provide an accessible learning and teaching environment for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and researchers. From its enhanced studio and production spaces to its exterior of glass-encased LED lights, this creative landmark (a former brewery warehouse) will also house the Ryerson Image Centre, with its acclaimed Black Star photography collection.

Final move in and reinstatement activities for the School of Image Arts were completed in December 2011 and the building is now partially occupied. The school’s production and classroom spaces are in regular use by all Image Arts students, staff and faculty.  The new student study areas continue to be a hub of activity.

Full occupancy of the Ryerson Image Centre continues to be targeted for early 2012; relocation planning and moving discussions are underway with staff.

Ryerson's cafe tenant, Balzac's has begun fit-out activities for the space and the cafe is expected to be opened in early spring..
