This is a two-year, thesis-based program for students with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or related fields of study. Like all of our graduate programs, Applied Mathematics is research-focused and students will be guided by a faculty thesis advisor during the course of the program. There are three recognized fields of study in this program: physical/environmental geography and landscape analysis; business/commercial applications; and social and community information analysis.
Studies carried out by professional organizations have shown a high-demand for mathematical skills in the workplace. The Applied Mathematics graduate program will foster individuals who can fill that demand.
