Gindin Chair
About Us
Welcome! The CAW-Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy is the first union-endowed chair at a Canadian University. The mandate of the chair is to create a hub of interaction between social justice activists and academics at Ryerson University. This is a cross-appointment in Politics and Social Work.
The current chair is Winnie Ng. Read more about Winnie and her work at Ryerson and beyond here.
Chair Emeritus is Judy Rebick. Read more about Judy and her work at Ryerson and beyond here.
What is the Gindin Chair up to?
The Gindin Chair holds lots of events and activities throughout the year, on and off Ryerson campus. If you're interested in the activities of the Gindin Chair, please contact us, and we'll put you on our e-mail list.
