Bachelor of Social Work The School of Social Work, located within the Faculty of Community Services, is widely known and respected for its leadership in progressive education for social work practice. At the undergraduate level, the School offers an applied four-year program of study leading to the Bachelor of Social Work degree. Courses are taught within social justice and anti-oppression frameworks, with attention given to the historical background, issues and continued strivings of Aboriginal peoples in Canada. A core component of the curriculum is the field practicum in third and fourth years which has the objective of developing practice skills and preparing a self-evaluating, knowledgeable and reflexive professional social work practitioner.
