What is Course Enrollment? Course Enrollment is the period at the beginning of each term when returning students access their timetables from the Web at my.ryerson.ca (RAMSS), make sure they are enrolled in the right courses and have the appropriate pre- and co-requisites, tie up loose ends and take care of other business. Throughout the school year email messages (and hard copy mail for Part-time students only), with course enrollment and timetabling details will be sent to you at your Ryerson email address. Full-time program students: if you are taking a course at The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, see Academic Matters: The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education.
How do I enroll? That depends on whether you are a new or a returning student. The procedures are outlined below. New Students (including students who have been re-instated or re-admitted): 1. See the information available on RAMSS to learn when you will be able to view your timetable and adjust your enrollments. 2. If your timetable is not complete, follow the procedures for adding classes, or visit your department/school for assistance.
Returning Students: If you completed a Course Intention request last March, the enrollment process is simple. 1. Check your Ryerson e-mail for information on obtaining your timetable/course schedule on RAMSS. 2. Add or change your classes on RAMSS during the enrollment period. 3. If you are on PROBATIONARY Standing, speak to the designated person in your department/school about your classes and how to clear your Standing. 4. PROBATIONARY students must complete and sign a PROBATIONARY Contract prior to enrolling in classes.
If you did NOT complete your Course Intention request last March, you must: 1. Determine what courses you need by going to your program department/school, or by running an Advisement Report on RAMSS. 2. During the period of Open Course Enrollment at the beginning of each semester, enroll in classes on RAMSS at my.ryerson.ca. 3. If you are on PROBATIONARY Standing, speak to the designated person in your department/school about your classes and how to clear your Standing. 4. PROBATIONARY students must complete and sign a PROBATIONARY Contract prior to enrolling in classes.
