Can I do school work in a ryerson building at night?

Every Ryerson building has official opening and closing hours which are posted at the beginning of the year. Normal hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Access to your department/school's area for studying outside of those hours must be granted by the chair/director of your program department/school. Security access, once granted by your department, will be added to your OneCard. Report lost or stolen OneCards immediately to the OneCard Office. For safety reasons, it is recommended that you do not work alone at night.
How do I get access to my department building after hours?

Your department/school may have its own special procedures which they will tell you about at the beginning of the year. If you have not received information about departmental procedures, you will need to ask your chair/director for permission to use a specific area such as a studio after hours.
If permission is granted, your Chair/Director will make arrangements as needed for you.
When you are using the area after hours, you must have your Ryerson OneCard with you and show it to Security personnel upon request.
Your OneCard is your door access card.
Where else can I study at Ryerson after hours?

There are other areas for students to use for studying:
Fourth floor Jorgenson Hall
General Purpose teaching and drop-in computer labs in KHW-71.
The Hub, Main floor, Podium
Credit Union Lounge, Podium
Mini Theatre Lounge, Library Building
The Library has extensive hours, including weekends and until midnight during the exam period. It is a staffed area. For hours check www.ryerson.ca/library/info/hours.html
In order for you to be allowed to be on campus property after hours, you will need to be able to present your Ryerson OneCard to Security upon request.
