What kinds of awards are available to Ryerson students?

Departmental/School Awards

George Vari Award for Good Citizenship

How do I apply for these awards?

Information and applications (where appropriate) for these and other Ryerson awards are available at www.ryerson.ca/currentstudents/awards. Deadline dates vary.

EXTERNAL AWARDS

There are two types of external awards:

External agencies designate specific Ryerson students as recipients. Examples are parental employers, foundations, Canada Scholarship Trust Plan. They normally require proof that you are a Ryerson student and authorized information about tuition fees and related costs. Enrollment Services and Student Fees has signing authority for such information. Student Financial Assistance distributes funds on behalf of the agency.

Awards offered for scholarship or research purposes by public or private funding agencies. Application is made directly to the funding group. The Student Financial Assistance Office receives announcements from these sources throughout the academic year. Notices are posted in student notice areas of appropriate program departments/schools and on our website at www.ryerson.ca/currentstudents/awards.

Interested students should check the Scholarships and Awards website regularly for new announcements of awards at www.ryerson.ca/currentstudents/awards
