What forms of identification cards will I need at Ryerson? Well, we've rolled everything into one— that's why the only card you will use is called the Ryerson "OneCard". 1. RYERSON ONECARD The Ryerson OneCard is Ryerson's official photo ID card and much more. This card displays your name, picture, and student number and Library bar code. You are required to pick up your ID card during your first year of attendance. You will need to carry this card with you all the time. It is used for such things as participation in student activities, access to buildings, final examinations, and as proof that you are a Ryerson student. DON'T LOSE, DAMAGE OR CHANGE YOUR ONECARD! Replacement of your OneCard for any reason such as lost cards, holes punched, damaged cards, changes to your OneCards etc., cost $30 (subject to change). Name changes cost $10 (subject to change). The Ryerson OneCard is more than just an ID card. The magnetic strip on the back of the card can be used to purchase a variety of services across the campus. How to Get Your Ryerson OneCard: Please check our web site for up-to-date information: www.ryerson.ca/onecard. New Students must submit their photograph electronically. The OneCard will be distributed during Orientation week - check our website for details. You will need to bring valid government issued Photo ID (Drivers License, Passport, OHIP card (with photo), Citizenship Card, etc.) when you pick up your OneCard. Orientation Week - we set up in the Lower Gym KHW-73 starting the last Monday in August through to the Thursday following Labour Day weekend. RYERSON ONECARD VALIDATION: Your Ryerson OneCard will remain active while you are enrolled in your undergraduate or graduate program at Ryerson. Hours for the OneCard Office are posted at the OneCard office and on the website. Normal hours are: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the summer, service hours are reduced. Check www.ryerson.ca/onecard for details. When do I have to show my OneCard? Your OneCard proves you belong to the Ryerson community. Carry your card with you at all times.
2. LIBRARY CARD Your Ryerson OneCard is also your library card. 3. RECREATION AND ATHLETICS CENTRE CARD (RAC) You must bring your Ryerson OneCard,to the front desk at RAC. No other form of ID (such as a fee statement) will be accepted. 4. MEAL CONTRACT CARD Meal plans are available to all Ryerson students. This declining balance system is accessed through your Ryerson OneCard and may be used at any of the Food Service outlets on campus.
